Take a few minutes to consider

This will be the final part of every Step in every Behaviour in this book

ZEN: Step 2

When he understands, put yur cue back on, and then test him again.

When you think he's ready, test it.
If he doesn't pass, keep working.

ZEN: Step 4

The dog moves away from a treat in his dog dish held in your hand.

wwww
Instead of a single treat, teach him Dish Zen with his breakfast or dinner in it.
When he's ready, put your cue back on and try it cold.

ZEN: Step 5

The Real World.
  • work with different treats in different places
  • show other people how to teach him
  • when he understands the idea, show younger and younger children how to teach him
  • when you see a problem developing, take the time to teach the dog.
  • Pill zen, good Leather Shoe Zen, Pop Can Zen - the more you teach and use Zen, the fadter and more thoroughly it will become a way of life for your dog
